Dubai Pearl Opus is the inaugural expression of the collection; an elegant tribute to the land, the people, the sea, and the stories that connect them.
Rooted deeply in heritage and elevated through modern design, this set was created to honor the extraordinary evolution of Dubai: from humble coastal beginnings shaped by pearl diving and trade, to the globally admired city of culture, innovation, and luxury it is today. More than a mahjong set, Dubai Pearl Opus is a celebration of tradition, artistry, and connection - designed to be played, shared, displayed, and treasured for generations.
Every detail within the collection was intentionally chosen to tell a story. The pearl tile backs pay homage to the region’s rich pearl diving history; a defining part of Gulf heritage and one of the earliest foundations of prosperity and community in the Emirates. Softly luminous and timeless in design, they serve as a reminder of the resilience, beauty, and spirit that shaped the region long before the skyline emerged.
The specially curated heritage tiles honor the symbols, landmarks, and cultural icons that define Dubai and the UAE today. From the architectural grandeur to the enduring traditions, every tile reflects a piece of the city’s identity - balancing history and modernity in a way only Dubai can. Nature and symbolism were equally important in the storytelling of this collection. The falcon, the UAE’s national bird, represents strength, vision, and heritage. The camel reflects endurance and the deep connection to desert life and Bedouin culture. The Tribulus flower, the national flower of the UAE, was chosen alongside blooms woven throughout Dubai’s landscape - symbols of warmth, hospitality, beauty, and life in the region. Figures and motifs were thoughtfully incorporated throughout the design to celebrate the people, artistry, and traditions that continue to shape the soul of the city.
