Born in South Africa and internationally shaped for more than twenty-five years, Caresha Boll brings a layered global perspective to the world of mahjong. Her life has unfolded across Singapore, China, the United States, the Netherlands, Kenya, and now Dubai - each chapter deepening her appreciation for culture, discipline, and tradition reinterpreted.
Caresha holds an MBA and built an international career in business and finance spanning multiple expatriate assignments across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the United States. Her work demanded precision, strategic thinking, and cross-cultural leadership.
Years in structured corporate environments shaped her discipline. Years living across continents shaped her perspective.
Choosing later to step away from corporate leadership to focus on family, she redirected that same rigour toward something more personal and enduring.
A wife and mother of three daughters, she began to think not only about achievement, but about legacy — what is built, what is preserved, and what is passed forward.
Her relationship with mahjong began in the East and matured in Europe.
In 2010, living abroad without access to a proper set, she recreated the game using little more than two photocopied sheets of paper and a ruler. The materials were improvised. The conversations were not.
That early experience clarified something essential: the power of mahjong lies not in decoration, but in connection.
In Dubai, casual play evolved into teaching and mentoring. Gatherings became structured. Tables became regular. A circle formed.
Over the past decade, what began as informal hosting gradually shaped itself into something more deliberate - a refined, purpose-led practice centred on craft, learning, and belonging.
Today, Caresha designs permanent mahjong editions intended for elegant private homes. She leads a social club built around craftsmanship, intellectual play, and quiet camaraderie.
Her work honours heritage while expressing it through modern Middle Eastern design. Mahjong becomes both an intellectual pursuit and a social ritual -strengthening memory, sharpening strategy, and inviting presence.
